With Medtopia Mobile, physicians can look up appointments,
surgeries, and patients’ medical histories while on the move. They can also capture office visits, labs,
diagnoses, and procedures using a predefined superbill for fast and efficient
data entry. Additionally, they can
write prescriptions and document the patient encounter for storage as part of
the patient’s permanent medical record. When the Mobile device is synchronized to the server, all encounter
information is uploaded to the patient chart and all new information is
downloaded to the device, such as phone messages, email, reports, patient
records, and changes to the physician’s appointment schedule.
At any time, physicians and their office staff can view all
the information online at www.medtopia.com using a web browser from any
computer that is connected to the Internet. With the web browser, they have instant access to their patients’
medical records in addition to the ability to run numerous reports. Similarly, the office staff has full access
to the Rx Queue for managing prescriptions and the appointment calendar for
managing office appointments, surgeries, hospital visits, and meetings.
